I have no time for pictures, or to do Day 2 of Market any real justice, but I can share a couple of highlights.
First, something big is happening with EDeN. You know, my Equivalent Die Notation System?
Well, it’s going to be in print.
I had an awesome meeting with the editorial group of a magazine, and they have agreed to start incorporating EDeN into their quilt patterns. We’re going to try it for three issues and see how it works out.
Oh. My. Goodness. This is HUGE you guys!!!
I can’t tell you which magazine yet until we sign the letter of intent, but I just had to share what a giant step forward die cutting just had yesterday. 🙂
Second, I met Emily Cier, from Carolina Patchworks. It was so hilarious – I’d been talking to her for about 20 minutes (we hadn’t introduced ourselves, we just started talking), swapping curly hair stories, and she said hey let’s trade info & you should come to my booth. She didn’t have any cards on her, so she wrote on the back of one of mine. That’s when I saw her name, and I shouted, “Oh my gosh, YOU’RE EMILY CIER!” I totally embarassed her. She’s such a sweet person. I have a photo that I’ll post up later when I have time to recap Day 3.
Third, the show floor is laid out in such a strange way that it’s hard to make sure you’re covering all the booths. I can say that I haven’t seen anything that has really “wowed” me yet, but for my own business, I am glad that I came.
Back to Market!
Hurrah for you! What an exciting day!
Can’t wait to hear what magazine you will be joining up with. It’s about time fabric die cutters have patterns directed to them in print.
You have really inspired me to get my fabrics out of the bins and cutting them up. I started with the triangles and have now progressed to many others. My grand daughter was visiting in the week-end and we started on my xmas fabric. It has been so much fun seeing the fabrics cut up into different shapes.
You are the “WOW” that’s walking around! Have fun & go EDEN!
