Who knew that our voicemail box was full?
That might sound like a terrible thing for me to admit, but it’s absolutely true.
You see, our voicemails are actually transcribed as voice-to-text, and then sent via email to our ticketing system.
When we listen to the voicemail (or read the transcription) and resolve whatever the issue is, we delete the email. Simple, right?

Wrong!
Deleting the voicemail from our ticketing system does not in fact have an impact on voicemails with our telephone provider. We’ve had our toll-free line since 2012. Yes! 2012!
In all that time, it never once occurred to me that I needed to log in and clean out the mailbox, and I guess they finally had enough. We ran out of storage space, and I had to empty the mailbox.
100 messages at a time.
It did take me a bit to actually get it cleaned because, I didn’t really know how to log in to get the voicemails, so that took some digging through files to retrieve the original account information.
So if you’ve been trying to reach us via telephone, my apologies for not putting two and two together and realizing that the emails we get are just copies of the voicemails on our telephony account. And that place can store 7 years of messages max.
Now you can call us again and leave a message!
(And thanks for the folks who reached out to let us know that our voicemail box was full.)
