I Made My First Video! Cutting With the AccuQuilt GO!

April 26, 2010 by Ebony Love

Yes, folks. I gave in and bought a GO! Yes, folks. I have the Studio too. It’s a sickness.

In any event, I was trying to explain something to a group of folks on how to cut a long strip of fabric using a square die. Can you picture it? Huh? Huh?

Well, neither could anybody else. So I took a few minutes to read the instructions for my digital camera, found out I have oodles of memory to make videos, and got this whipped up in very short order. Enjoy! (Yes, there are some goofy parts… but I’m adorable!) 🙂

Happy quilting!

Actually, the video is only 4:22 – so we shaved a minute-o-eight right there. 🙂 It took me that long to EXPLAIN how to cut it with a Go. How long would it take you to EXPLAIN to someone how to use a rotary cutter if they've never done it before? Someone asked if it were possible to make that cut; I obliged by showing how with a video. It's a new technique, and I was new at videos too. It isn't a cutting contest, it's an educational video. Maybe you're missing the point? Thanks for watching though!

You took 5 and a half minutes to cut 1 4 and a half inch strip of fabric, I guess you could have cut that strip with a ruler and rotary cutter in a fraction of the time you took to do what you did with the Go cutter, I think you're missing the point!

Wow. A studio and a Go! Thanks for the tip, now I have to go buy one so I can put my new found knowledge to work.
