It has been a long time coming, and a lot of work involved, but after years of poorly-lit YouTube videos, I’ve finally been able to produce a high quality video to get quilters started on the right path to fabric die cutting. In celebration of this awesome DVD release, I’ve invited quilters, artists, and designers from all over to check it out and share their thoughts with you about it. Along the way, you can meet some fabulous folks and enter to win a copy of this DVD for yourself.
The other awesome thing to happen is I’ll be hosting a live webinar next Monday, in which I get to share more about how you can make the most of your die cutting experience. Read on to learn who our blog hop hosts are and how you can join the webinar.
Over the next week, you’ll meet:
Linda Nitzen from Sizzix. She’s the quilting guru over there, and Sizzix was fabulous to sponsor the DVD. Seriously, without them this DVD may not have happened, and I was so thrilled when they came on board and championed this production. You’ll hear from Sizzix on Tuesday.
Rose Hall from Custom Quilt Kits. There’s only one other person I know of who has more dies than I do – and Rose is that person. Be sure to check out her website and see what she has to offer. Her post is coming up on Wednesday.
Tracy Mooney of Generation Q Magazine and Junior Editor Cyd. This mom and daughter duo make quilting fun and accessible, and I’m thrilled to hear their take on this DVD and starting their die cutting adventure together. You’ll hear from them on Thursday.
Cheryl Sleboda of Muppin.com. Cheryl is a confessed die cutting newbie, but she’s always game for learning new tips and techniques and sharing them with you on her blog via her Technique of the Week feature. She also has cool skull gear! Cheryl will share her perspective on Friday.
The illustrious and talented Jessica K. Darling. Her easy-going and approachable vibe is sure to pull you in. She’ll hook you up with her tale of her die cutting adventures on Saturday.
Darlene from Quilt Shop Gal. Formerly (and mysteriously) known as SewCal Gal, Darlene takes a break from her quilting adventures to give you the scoop on the downloadable version of the DVD (yup – you can get an instant download too!) We’ll hear from her on Sunday.
Finally, rounding up the week of hopping adventures, we’ll end with a brand new, live webinar hosted by Craft Online University. This webinar is a more in-depth look at the topic of die cutter compatibility. You don’t need the DVD to enjoy the webinar, and vice versa, but having both will give you a great perspective on not only your own machine, but how you can take advantage of some of the compatibility features that some of these machines offer. It’s not to be missed!
You can register right now for the webinar – and even if you can’t attend live, reserving your spot guarantees you access to the replay!
